Culturally Informed Practitioner Training

24th April 2025

Calling All Mental Health Professionals, Counsellors, and Social Workers!

Enrolment is now open for the Culturally Informed Practitioner Training – Winanga-yla-dhan Worker!

This 6-day transformative program is designed to equip professionals with the skills and knowledge to address intergenerational trauma through culturally safe, community-centred, and trauma-informed approaches.

Why This Training is Critical:

The impacts of colonisation and intergenerational trauma require healing practices that go beyond Western frameworks. Despite years of effort, Western approaches alone have not addressed the deep wounds caused by systemic disconnection from culture, community, and identity.

Cultural ways of healing offer profound insights, rooted in thousands of years of wisdom, connection, and resilience. This training helps professionals break away from “what hasn’t been working” by embracing decolonised, culturally informed practices that reconnect individuals and communities to their cultural identity.

What You’ll Gain:

  • A deep understanding of how cultural identity influences healing.
  • Tools to address intergenerational trauma using cultural frameworks.
  • Practical strategies to decolonise trauma-informed care.
  • Culturally safe approaches to community connection and recovery.
