Can you tell us a bit about yourself?
My name is Kedeisha Kartinyeri and I am a Ngarrindjeri woman living in Strathalbyn, SA. I am a business owner, a first-time mum & a keen sportsperson. I graduated from university in 2019 with a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting), where I found my passion of working with Aboriginal Businesses.
Can you tell us about your business?
KML Business Solutions was founded by myself and my business partner Mike Levy in 2021. We previously worked together at an accounting firm where we managed most of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients, including Aboriginal Corporations across SA & the NT. We grew a passion in this field and found that so many businesses weren’t getting personalised services and so we decided to open KML Business Solutions. We currently provide Accounting, Bookkeeping & governance support services to many businesses across SA & the NT. Our vision is to establish a sustainable growing business together with our clients by providing culturally appropriate specialised services.
What future aspirations do you have?
My future aspirations are to build KML Business Solutions into a larger business where we can increase Aboriginal participation in the accounting profession by providing opportunities and employment pathways. My goal is to have a team of Aboriginal Accountants working with us so that we have Aboriginal people working directly with our Aboriginal businesses ensuring they have the financial support and mentoring to make informed business decisions.
